First edition. Near Fine paperback with a hint of shelf wear and a light bump to one fore corner. SHIPS THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY, WRAPPED IN PADDING AND CARDBOARD. Facsimile reproductions of nine illustrated letters that Beatrix Potter wrote to Noel, Eric, and Freda Moore, the children of a former governess. The letters were originally owned by Philip Hofer, since donated to the Harvard College Library. Introduction by Hofer and transcriptions of the letters at the end. 48 pages; b&w illustrations throughout; 4-7/8 by 7-1/2 inches.
