Complete second volume in two parts of Franz-Jürgen Schmitz's "List of Coptic New Testaments Manuscripts." The Coptic version is one of the earliest and the most important version of the New Testament. To the present day survived almost 1000 Coptic manuscripts of the New Testament. Majority of them represent Sahidic and Bohairic dialects. Only very few manuscripts represent the dialects of the Middle Egypt. Very minor age-wear / soiling to bindings. Ex-library copy, with stamp at top and bottom paper edges, and spine, bookplate on inside of front covers, and library pocket on inside of back covers. Text in German, with some Coptic.
