Volume 1 has; 423 pages + a folding map at the rear, Vol 2 has; 352 pages + folding map & volume 3 has; 416 pages + folding map, original crimson cloth with gilt titles on the spines, all maps FINE, no tears or issues. There is the dropped print faults at the end of some words on page 49 of the 3rd volume (so an early issue copy), the wrappers have NO repairs and NO inscriptions and are still the silver grey as required, so not faded to white, they have not been touched and are correct for the volumes they are all correct for the volumes they are on, the final book has had the price at the base of the flap cut off (small rectangle) and there is a tiny bit of foxing to the endpapers on volume 2, the contents are fine, title pages all clean and fresh. The wrapper on volume 3 has some light edge wear at extremes and with slight loss on head and tail of the spine, with a small closed split at top edge of the back wrapper, a light spillage mark/ splash mark on cover at top corner and small rubbing spot on back also, the wrappers themselves although tight are also a little grubby through appropriate amount of handling for the age and nothing else, (all are in good enough condition to be professionally cleaned), for now they remain untouched leaving them as bought. A very good+ to near fine set of this work 1957-1958 A Rare single purchase set, especially nice in this condition. (More images can be provided as only 5 can be uploaded on this site).
