First title page states, "First Performance in America and First Presentation in English on October 15th, 1906, at the Columbia Theatre, Washington, D.C." Text in English only. Second title page states, "Founded on the book by John L. Long and drama by David Belasco." Slight edge and corner wear and a few minor stains on the rear cover. No major tears or chips. Interior of program is very clean, no previous owner's names, no marks, no foxing. Whereas there is a list of characters, there is no list of performers. This program is not necessarily for the October 15th performance specifically. A scarce first American edition program from one of Puccini's most beloved operas.
