New York and London. Putnam's. 1890. First edition of Edwin Asa Dix book in green cloth with gilt spine lettering and carriage on front board. Condition Very Good. The spine ends are frayed and there is rubbing along the spine junctions. The boards are a bit grubby. Internally the front endpaper is split and some netting is exposed on p96. Despite the hinge being loose, the binding is holding all pages firm and apart from age toning the leaves are clean and unmarked. Frontis tissue guard is very slightly foxed. Top edge gilt and floral endpapers 332 pp.+ Illustrated with a double-page map, 11 b&W photo plates and B&W drawings within text. Seller Inventory # K10807015
