First edition. 12mo. [9]pp. Quarter cloth and paper-covered boards. Introduction James Pepper. Fine copy, issued without dust jacket. Bogdanovich's account of hearing actress Lillian Gish speak in 1958 following a showing of D.W. Griffith's 1920 film *Way Down East*. This is the hardbound issue reportedly one of 100, out of a total edition of 1000 copies, this copy being an out-of-series and unsigned. Printed by Graham Mackintosh and Neva Munoz, distributed as a holiday greeting in December 1995 to the friends of Peter Bogdanovich and booksellers Pepper & Stern.
