Sm4to. (8) 9-602pp, 6 pages ads. Very good plus first edition. Illustrated by steel plates and maps. Rust brown decorative cloth covered boards with beveled edges. Front panel and spine have gilt-stamped outlined lettering and images of the Confederate flag and cannon, all ornately surrounded by black-stamped borders; similar blind-stamped designs on back panel. Edges at head and tail of board spine are softened and with small rubs and fraying. Scuffs on spine folds. Fore-edge corners are scuffed and barely rubbed-through. Board panels are scuffed but not rubbed through. Pencilled owner's name and faint pencil erasures on FFEP. Light foxing to several front- and back-most pages. Text pages are age-toned else very clean. Text block is very snug. Please use close-up options for best inspection and in support of condition descriptions.
