Small quarto. 35-49 (i.e. [15]) pp. Stapled wrappers. Ownership stamp and signature of noted American psychologist Henry Guze (co-founder, along with Ellis, of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sex), along with the subject of the offprint in ink, both on the cover, staples a bit oxidized and a couple of small oxidized marks on the blank lower wrap, very good or better. Originally a paper presented at the session on "Recent Innovation in Psychotherapeutic Strategy" at the 1956 APA convention and here reprinted from *The Journal of General Psychology*, No. 59, 1958, an early defense of Ellis's groundbreaking Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. In the introduction to a 2001 interview with Ellis in *Psychology Today*, Robert Epstein writes, "Given these techniques [REBT] have now become mainstream, it's safe to say that no individual not even Freud himself has had a greater impact on modern psychotherapy." *OCLC* locates two copies.
