The moderately scarce hardcover edition from Ballantine. Lucius Beebe compares it to John Myers Myers' wonderful DEAD WARRIOR, and P. G. Wodehouse contributed a blurb! Possibly an ex-lib copy: there's the remains of a slip on the rear free endpaper, and small tape stains on the frong and back cover. The jacket is taped inside at several points, and has at least one unrepaired closed tear on the front cover. The jacket spine is noticeably faded. The jacket is not clipped.
