4to, [134] + IXpp; original wrappers bound into full red morocco, t.e.g. One of 100 numbered copies, (there were another 50 on japon). Mallarmé had corresponded wth Deman as early as 1891 about an edition of his Poésies, to be limited to 100 copies. Publication was delayed while the poet completed "Hériodade," and ultimately was completed after Mallarmé's death. This copy has the small, discreet ownership stamp of the jurist and art historian Bruno Adriani, author of two books on French poetry. Discreet ownership stamp; some toning and mended wear to wrappers; few small scuffs to binding edges.
