Hardcover has yellow cloth-covered boards with black spine and cover lettering and cover illustration. Black and white frontispiece. Black and white illustrations by Anne Bullen. Binding loosening, but intact and undamaged. Hinges NOT cracked. Corners and spine ends bumped and rubbed, with some fraying at tips and spine ends. Covers have moderate edge wear and surface rubbing. Covers soiled, with some light ink tracing around the characters of the title and a small cup ring on the back cover. Name and address in pencil on front free endpaper. One inch tear a the bottom gutter of the half-title page; two other pages have small edge tears. Pages lightly and uniformly tanned but still supple. A few pages have light handling smudges, but are otherwise clean and unmarked. 156 pages. No dust jacket. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
