Each of 22 stories (fiction and non-fiction) are on two pages; the last one is one page. Illustrations are in color. All parts except the stylus of the magic slate are present. The magic board is too worn to take impressions. The clear plastic and gray sheet have wrinkles. The bottom corners of the spine strip are chipped over the board, as are two places on the bottom edges of the boards, 3/4 in. and 1 7/8 in. The boards' top, front corners are a little bumped. The back board has a linear 2 in. stain along the bottom edge. The top ends of the joints are wrinkled. About have of each gutter is split along side the boards, but are tipped back in with glue.
