1949. First Edition. 373 pages. Black and white photographic dust jacket over light blue cloth with a photographic black and white frontis and plates throughout. There is also black and white illustrated plates throughout. Moderate tanning to pages with pen inscriptions to front endpaper and pen marginalia and annotation throughout. Visible tanning to text block edges and cracks to guttering with exposed netting. Binding is loose. Boards have visible rubbing and sunning with moderate bumping to corners. Fair crushing to spine ends and heavier sunning to spine. Unclipped jacket with heavy edge wear and visible tearing to corners, edges and spine ends. Splitting to joints and tape to interior.
