First printing. Dark blue buckram binding with decorative front board and spine. Slight wear to ends of spine and corners of boards. Top page edge gilt but dulled. Browning and foxing to page edges and endpapers. Foxing to text. Slight chipping to edges of front free endpaper. Light water stain to lower corner of several pages. Plate facing p18 has a tear to lower corner. 75 colour plates plus fold-out map. A solid example from A. & C. Black's 20s series. Overall condition is Good Plus.
