Fischer, recommending the book to Smith College professor of Russian language and literature Helen Muchnic, for her students "at the recommendation of Miss Marguerite Harrison of the V shop." Marguerite Harrison is likely the American socialite, spy, and journalist, although we are unsure about the "V shop.".
