A review copy, with the publisher's typed slip laid in. Octavo; photo-illustrated wrappers; black edge-staining; 159pp, [1] ad. Hint of tanning to text edges, else Fine and unread. Movie tie-in edition for the author's 1956 novel Down There, basis for François Truffaut 's 1960 film noir Tirez sur le Pianiste (Shoot the Piano Player). Wrappers feature seven stills from the film, with a cover printing a quote by Henry Miller. Not an uncommon book, but scarce as an advance.
