First printing with full number line. Measures approximately 5.75 x 8.5 inches. No medal on the dust jacket. Dust jacket has a 1.25 inch tear, a couple of small 0.5 inch tears, and several nicks on the top edge and foldover edge. Light rubbing and edge wear. Price-clipped. Dust jacket is in a new protective Brodart cover. Boards and spine are in excellent like-new condition. Top page end has a few foxing spots. Spine is tight and square. Pages are clean and crisp. No writing inside. Minimal wear. 1984 Newbery Honor. Scarce.
