Cartoons and drawings by Lockheed Overseas Corporation civilian mechanic satirically depicting life at Langford Lodge airfield North of Belfast, Ireland during World War II. 3,900 U.S. civilians worked at the base, assembling, testing and/or servicing planes that included the Lockheed P-38 Lightning and Bell P-39 Airacobras fighters. Book include autographs/inscriptions from co-workers at the base. Dampstains to edges of endpapers and some page edges where red binding color has bled through. Some tears to protective tissue paper for cartoons. Includes drawings depicting Langford Lodge, Lockheed Overseas Corporation Hospital, Pakenham Chapel, The Vicarage, An Irish Cottage, and cartoons regarding life on the base.
