Bifolium splitting a bit along the ends of the fold, light foxing and offsetting throughout, toning to the exterior, and some edgewear, still a complete and very good copy. For voice and piano. Plate number, 5259. The front cover states, "To the Revd. R.B. Yard, Chaplain of the 1st New Jersey Reg. and Dr. E.L. Welling of the 3rd." The Army of the Potomac formed in 1861 and were the primary field army of the Union in the eastern theater of the Civil War. *OCLC* locates only three holdings of this song and it appears to be equally scarce in the trade.
