Green cloth with deer head decoration in gilt center; thin 12mo; 8pp; illustrated with title page drawing, woodcut plate plus 5 vignettes of ducks in flight. Frick was an American vertebrate paleontologist and a trustee of the American Museum of Natural History. A son of steel magnate Henry Clay Frick and Adelaide Howard Childs, born in Pittsburgh and later settled in Rosyln, New York. The family traveled extensively abroad and enjoyed leisure time in the Adirondacks. This work, a poem, is a short tribute to St. Hubert's, where the Ausable Club resides and home to the Adirondack Mountain Reserve. This book is quite scarce with no auction records listed and only 1 copy located at Brown University. Not cited by Plum. This copy bound upside-down o/w in VG condition. Seller Inventory # 007000
