From the library of Nils G. von Koch at Augerum. First edition. Ludwig Frey (1810-71) was a German jurist. For political reasons he moved to France and returned to Germany in 1837. In 1840 he published his large ?Lehrbuch des franz�sischen Zivilrechts? in three volumes. In the revolution of 1848 he once again took an active part. He never however succeded to become a professor and turned to journalism instead.
