First American edition. No date (1921). Printed in Great Britain at The Chapel River Press. Hardcover, green cloth covered boards, green top-edge stain. Contemporary inscription on fep's and previous owner bookplate. Rubbing to extremities, slight loss head of spine. Tansy was the author's greatest success. It is the story of a shephard girl caught up in a love triangle between two brothers. In 1927 a silent film was made of the story starring Alma Taylor and shot on location in Burpham. The author was much admired by John Cowper Powys among others. Quite scarce.
