Add to basketNambour, Qld.: The Author (Roebuck Society), (1996). First edition. Fine/fine. Large 8vo. Pp. x; 417. A reproduction of Cook's chart of the region tipped in at the front and rear endpapers. With five pages of color plates. With many b&w illustrations throughout. Index. Appendices, including a chronological list of early passages. Bibliography. Bound in green cloth with gilt lettering stamped on spine, the original stiff paper wraps bound in. In exemplary condition with no detracting qualities. An idiosyncratic maritime history of the strait, the product of the authorís years of study on the subject ñ his profusion of knowledge readily evident. This copy specially bound by Aflex Pty., Caboolture, Queensland. Regrettably, the printing quality and layout is fairly poor. Fortunately, the writer's passion overrides the aesthetic disappointment. A volume in the Roebuck Society Series, publication number 48.
