First separate edition. Octavo. 8, [5]pp. Titlepage printed in black and blue. Stitched decorated self-wrappers. Fine. Originally published in 2864 in the magazine the *Californian* and then published in Twain's first book *The Celebrated Jumping Frog.* in 1867. This is one of only 18 copies printed, *OCLC* locates three copies. A handsome fine press production.
