Title page and all of the illustrations are mounted proof plates. Illustrations all by G. Pearson and J. Cooper after R.T. Pritchett. Single page chart. Overall a very good plus copy of the limited edition which is a much more elaborate production than the trade edition. Limited first edition. Copy 66/250. An account half-titled "14,000 Miles in the 'Sunbeam' in 1883", of a leisurely two-month cruise from England to Madeira,Trinidad,Venezuela,Jamaica,the Bahamas,and Bermuda,and then back to England via the Azores. The ship's artist was the marine illustrator (and gunmaker) Robert Taylor Pritchett; and the eleven passengers included Alice-in-Wonderland's younger sisters Rhoda and Violet Liddell and--briefly--the etcher (and J. M. W. Whistler's brother-in-law) Seymour Haden.
