"First published by MICHAEL JOSEPH LTD" on the copyright page of this UK hardcover, so the first edition per Currey and ISFDB. This book is in very good condition, marred only by a UK bookstore sticker on its front pastedown, a label removal scrape on its front end paper, slight lean, and light bumps on its spine ends. Its binding is sound, with no spine crease. Covers are unmarked and otherwise unworn, with bright gilt titles on its spine. Pages are unmarked and unworn, with no apparent age toning. Its dust jacket, now protected by a removable mylar cover, is also in very good condition: bright and unmarked, with a price-clipped front flap, a 1/2" closed tear in its front top edge, and some very light wear on its spine ends, but otherwise whole and unworn. I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its new owner in the same condition as my description. All shipments will be via US Postal Service unless requested otherwise. Standard shipping within the USA will be via USPS Media Mail. Priority shipping within the USA will be via USPS First Class Mail.
My current Standard shipping rate within the USA is US$4.00 for the first book, and US$2.00 for additional books in the same order.
There are two situations where I will refund to the buyer a portion of the postage charged by ABEBOOKS: (1) Separate orders placed on the same date for shipment to the same address will be shipped together, so I will refund half of the postage paid for the first book in each such second and subsequent order. And (2) Books described as "paperbacks" in my descriptions weigh less than other books, so I will refund US$1.00 of the paid shipping fee for the 2nd and subsequent paperbacks in the same order shipping to the same address.
