A first edition, first printing published by Cassell in 1966. A very good book with some wear to the corners - browning and spotting to the page edges. In a an unclipped wrapper with an external tape repair to the top of the spine. Some chipping to the spine tips and corners. Set in the glamorous world of show business, the story follows three women Anne, Neely, and Jennifer whose lives intersect as they navigate the challenges of fame, love, and addiction. The term "dolls" refers to prescription pills that become a source of solace and escape for the characters. The novel explores the darker side of success and the toll it takes on personal relationships.
