1st UK edition, preceded by the American edition, with green boards and a red label to the spine along with "1902" in gold gilt at the bottom of the spine. There are various points indicating that this is a true 1st edition: "Nietzsche" has been mis-spelled on page 38, and there are 32 pages of advertising at the back. The boards are shelf rubbed, edge worn, marked, and the spine is sunned, but they remain strong and sturdy despite this. Internally, there is very light tanning throughout, but there are no other markings or inscriptions, and the pages within are crisp, clean and complete.
