The first edition of this very scarce work.An interesting Anglican work, consisting of two sermons on undesigned coincidences between the writings of the Evangelists, and between those works and those of Josephus.By John James Blunt, an Anglican priest known for his studies of the early church.Label of the Baptist College Library, Bristol, to the front paste down, stamps to the paste down and endpapers, and to the half-title and title page. In the original paper covered boards. Externally, with some wear resulting in loss of paper, mostly to the spine to the head and tail of the backstrip. Some discolouration and marks to the boards and spines. A little loss to the spine label. Minor bumping to the extremities. Chip to the rear fore edge. Front hinge is starting a little but remains firm. Label and stamp to the front paste down, stamp and numerical ink to the recto to the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with some spots, mostly to the first and last few pages. Stamp and ink to the half-title and title page. Good.
