A thorough assembling of the legends surrounding the apparition of the Virgin: vol. 3 is an "apendice," and contains much material relating to the disputes as to authenticity of the apparition, list of authors on the subject, ecclesiastical actions, etc. Uncommon: OCLC shows 12 copies, but none at auction. Splendid chromos, text and binding in excellent condition. Nineteenth century binding of green cloth over leather boards, raised bands, gilt titles. Very good.
