Among his writings was the major county history of Cheshire.Apparently the first edition of the above work published in 1819 was the first book to be printed in Ross-on-Wye.Thomas Dudley Fosbroke [Fosbrooke], (1770-1842), antiquary. ODNB . in 1810 Fosbrooke accepted the curacy of Walford near Ross, Herefordshire, with the neighbouring parochial chapelry of Ruardean, Gloucestershire; he moved to Walford in 1811.
