About this Item
First Edition (SD). This book is in pretty nice shape, particularly taking into account that it was published in 1931. As you can see from the photos, the covers are quite clean, one spot on the front. The corners have a only very light rubbing. There's light wear at the top and bottom spine ends. The blue lettering and design on the front and spine is very bright. The spine is just slightly slanted forward. The book is solidly bound. I saw slight strain at few junctures between pages, but no cracks. Both covers are solidly bound, without issue. The inside covers and end papers are illustrated, the same illustration. They are all in very good condition. The pages are in very good condition. They are very clean. I saw only a few tiny spots. I didn't see any conspicuous creasing or dogeared corners. There are no markings. No attachments. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. It's a nice original and a very nice price. 'Stephen P. H. Butler Leacock, FRSC (30 December 1869 ? 28 March 1944) was a Canadian teacher, political scientist, writer, and humorist. Between the years 1915 and 1925, he was the best-known English-speaking humorist in the world. He is known for his light humour along with criticisms of people's follies. The Stephen Leacock Memorial Medal for Humour was named in his honour.'. Seller Inventory # 002410
