First edition, first impression, one of 5,000 copies, of Hockney's conversations with the art historian Marco Livingstone about his roots in Yorkshire and his return in 1997, profusely illustrated with reproductions of the artist's work and photographs of his life. Two deluxe editions were also issued: a run of 200 copies bound in green cloth and a run of 100 copies issued with a signed original print, 25 of which were hors commerce. Oblong quarto. Illustrated throughout with paintings by and photographs of Hockney, including two fold-out pages. Original red quarter cloth, lettering to spine in black and to front cover in white, illustrated boards and endpapers, printed on 170 gsm Hello Matt paper. No dust jacket issued. A fine copy.
