This 2-volume set has been rebound in the original (i.e. contemporary) full black polished leather. Professionally and period-sympathetically rebacked with a contrasting maroon leather gilt-blocked label. Raised bands, with spine compartments uniformly tooled in gilt. Blind tooled and gilt-lined borders to front and rear panels. Surface wear and scuffs to panels, with some light wear and rubbing to the panel edges. Offsetting from frontispiece to the title page in each volume. Pages clean and bright otherwise. Remains quite well-preserved overall.
