First edition, 8vo, pp. 240; map endpapers, frontispiece and 7 plates from photographs; a very good original blue cloth stamped in silver on upper cover and spine, preserving a very good dust jacket which shows some soiling and minor losses at the spine ends and corners. Uncommon in the jacket. "Travel, customs, and descriptions of little-known Tibet . The story in full of the Duncan and MacLeod families' thrilling experience with bandits on their way from Bantang, Tibet, to the coast" (jacket blurb). Yakushi D348: "Missionary work in 1921-28.".
