HARDCOVER, bound in contemporary red half cloth and matching pebbled boards, spine gilt, lower joint slightly cracked, spine-ends and corners bit chafed, free endpapers browned, neat discreet repairs to verso of folding maps, remnants of shelf ticket inside cover, foxed in places, else very clean. In a very good condition. ~ FIRST EDITION. With the contemporary, nicely illustrated bookplate of J. (Johannes) Sibinga Mulder. Born in Groningen in 1866, he became prominent figure in the sugar industry in the Dutch East Indies. He died in Amsterdam, in 1944. F-3.
