Engraved portrait and additional engraved frontispiece to the first volume as called for. Further printed title pages to each of the volumes. A good, clean and very solid set of books. Intermittent light toning or browning else sound and clean in the main. A handful of odd leaves with heavier browning, but very few and usually just one or two leaves in odd places. Overall a nice set of books, presented in attractive and sound bindings. Bound in recent half-leather bindings with marbled boards. Raised bands, blind tooled décor and gilt lettering to the spines.
