Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. The Winter of Our Discontent is John Steinbeck's last novel, published in 1961. The title comes from the first two lines of William Shakespeare's Richard III: "Now is the winter of our discontent / Made glorious summer by this sun [or son] of York". Steinbeck's only work to take place on the East Coast, the setting is based on Sag Harbor, New York. This copy is in very good condition,possibly a book club edition by not having a price on the dj or print history beyond "First published in 1961" on the verso. The dustjacket is in near fine condition in clear mylar covering. The book will be carefully wrapped and boxed for safe shipping. Seller Inventory # 003909
