Pages 399 to 412 have tiny tears (< .5 inch) to fore-edges. Pages are very lightly age-tanned. Gilt lettering and designs on spine of navy-blue, cloth-covered boards. Roscoe Conkling (1829 - 1888) was a powerful politician from New York who served both as a member of the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate.
