Tall 4to. pp. [4], 130, [2] with 10 unnumbered double page color illustrations by Beryl Tumiati. Numerous color illustrations by Tumiati are also present on the numbered leaves. Bound in quarter off-white cloth with illustrated paper boards. The binding contains rubbing and wear to the edges. A couple of areas along the cloth hinges are neatly restored. The title of the book is handwritten across the spine. No dust jacket. Interior pages are generally clean but with occasional light marginal spotting. 5 leaves of hand written notes on pulpy yellowed paper are loosely inserted in the rear. An Italian childrenís book on great ocean navigators with sections on Africa (Il giro dellí Africa), the discovery of the Atlantic Islands (la scoperta delle isole Atlantiche), the Hyperborean sea (nei mari Iperborei), Portuguese navigators (I maestri dei Portoghesi), Christopher Columbus (Cristoforo Colombo), the New World (il Mondo Nuovo) etc. Bookseller Inventory # 000886
