One of the most famous and last surviving bookshops on Charing Cross Rd, Henry Pordes Books has been a favorite among book lovers for over thirty years. The shop stocks a broad and eclectic range of books, from modern firsts, early classics - including Shakespeare, Dickens, Austen, Wilde, Carroll, the Brontė sisters, Barrie, George Eliot and more - early and fine editions of major twentieth-century publishing institutions such as Harry Potter, James Bond and the novels of Agatha Christie, P.G. Wodehouse, Graham Greene and Terry Pratchett, and rare antiquarian texts in the fields of medicine, science, sport, travel, history, religion, philosophy and Italian and French literature, to modern books on art, design, fashion, photography, architecture, natural history, archaeology, religion, mythology, folklore, cooking, drink, gardening, erotica, travel and children s books.
