About this Item

A tale told in the first person of five years in the life of a orphaned young woman who is living with relatives: the joys and and tragedies she has, culminating in a happy marriage. The novel's setting is not stated but it may be in and around Philadelphia. Searches of NUC and WorldCat locate only four libraries reporting ownership but searches of the OPACs of two of those institutions fail to locate copies as still owned. Square 12mo (17.5 cm; 7 "). [1] f., 176 pp. Wright, III, 3929. Publisher's reddish-brown pebbled cloth, bevelled edges. Title in gilt on front cover and spine. Binding rubbed, text block skewed, some brown stains. Ownership stamps on endpapers, and ownership inscriptions on same and on fly-leaf. A good only copy of a scarce work. Bookseller Inventory # 35727
