Book Description Alfred A. Knopf, New York. Hardcover. Book Condition: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. 1937, xiii, 158pp, illustrated. Light wear and soiling, else G. Apparently the old saying - if you have to ask how much it costs you can't afford it - is true. The author, who at that time was the editor of The Rudder, mentions in the preface that a boat builder was building three yachts for customers that were going to cost one and a half million dollars each. And it was during the period 1928 to 1931, when the Great Depression had kicked in. I guess it hadn't kicked in for everyone. Bookseller Inventory # 04087
