Dieci tomi in cinque volumi di cm. 19, 2.500 pp. complessive ca. Graziosa legatura coeva in cartonato rigido marmorizzato con titoli in oro su tass. al dorso. Lievi e sporadiche fioriture. Esemplare fresco e ben conservato. Jean Domat (1625-1696) è considerato, da parte della storiografia, il più grande civilista francese del Settecento; ebbe il merito di elaborare un riassetto del diritto nazionale utilizzando l'exemplum del diritto romano classico, non attraverso il metodo filologico cinquecentesco, bensì attraverso una ricerca di rigorosa sistemazione.
