Maxwell, 2pp. 8vo, Keele, 18 June 1975, with Maxwell's detailed manuscript response at foot, and an autograph letter signed from Maxwell, 1p. 8vo, Oxford, 26 June 1975 - "New version entirely satisfactory". Also includes C.N. Smith on "Wilfred Owen's Letter No. 573" and Jennifer Breen on "Wilfred Owen (1893-1918): his recovery from 'shell-shock'"; and two unpublished letters by Rupert Brooke. James Coutts Maxwell (1916-1976) was a Fellow of Balliol College, Oxford, 1946-9 and 1966-76 - latterly a Professorial Fellow; he died in a road accident.
