First edition of this number of Herbert Spencer influential twice-yearly typographical periodical. 4to. 58pp + [vi] advertisements + [i] loose-leave advertisement. Card wrappers with various colours and thicknesses of paperstock. Includes Allen Hutt on 'Newspaper Seals', W.E.May on 'The Compass Rose', Charles Hasler on 'The Emergence of the Printer's Sketch Block', and Ralph Brownjohn on 'Sex and Typography'. A fine copy in non-price-clipped dust wrapper, lightly faded at the spine panel. An excellent example.
