The Youth's Companion: Memorial Day issue Vol. 80 No. 20; dated May 31, 1906. Decorated and photo-illustrated color cover, five cent cover price and large 16 1/2" 11 1/4" size. Contains the first appearance of "Thebes of the 100 Gates" by Haggard on pages 271-272; with three photographs. This precedes the appearance in the UK Pall Mall Magazine (June 1906). Not listed in the bibliographies. Boston: Perry Mason Company (1906), 16 pages. VG with bend/curl along bottom edge [can be pressed], rusting staples. Central horizontal fold with some small tears along the fold, separation along spine, but all still attached, some soiling along fore edges. Cream colored pages. No writing, no repair, no cut-outs.
