First edition. Landscape 8vo. 78pp. Card wrappers. Deighton co-authors two 'Question and Answer' segments with Dease, and contributes an illustrated article 'Abroad in London', which is his first published prose work, plus the cover design, the typography and designs for three of the advertisements. This issue also includes Ronald Searle's 'The Survivor. A Warning', an illustrated four-page account of the 'little magazine' he illustrated whilst a captive of the Japanese, which served as cover for their secret nightly radio sessions. The advertisement on page 3 for The British Aluminium Co. is unaccredited but designed by Michael Ayrton. Some fox spotting to the wrappers, and some toning to two adjacent text leaves, offset from the required insert: 'Dove. An Ark Supplement'. Vol. 1, no. 1. A single sheet measuring 13 x 9 , folded to form four leaves. The whole folded horizontally once, as issued. A very good copy.
