This includes the Coniston Water area of present day Cumbria, then part of Lancashire.The whole country was surveyed for the Boundaries Commission as an update to the 1832 reform bill survey - a major shake-up of the nation's parliamentary representation.The map is on a scale of 4 miles to an inch and is accompanied by a brief survey report on a separate sheet with interesting information on population and housing etc. Enhanced with original hand colouring with a colour key to identify the various boundaries.Fine, clean condition, free of repairs or restoration.
