The primary map of this small folio on two sides is the map of "Los Angeles and Approaches."It covers one side of the map. The other two maps on the verso are; a) Motor Routes of California b) Motor Routes of Los Angeles. The map was copyrighted by Security-First National Bank of Los Angeles. The large map of LA uses big blue stars to show the bank locations. The map was compiled, designed and executed by Donald McLain. McLain was a resident of Altadena and Big Bear. Donald was a landscape artist with a photographic mind and iron clad recall. He was able to work for the bank and spend large amounts of time traversing landscape all over Southern California.
